This tutorial is to show you how to create a regular item with custom attributes
used for comparison and other purposes.
Part 1 - Setup two custom attributes for this item.
Step 1
Go to menu Item catalog and choose Custom Attribute.

Step 2 - Creates custom attribute
Clicks New to create a new custom attribute.

Step 3 - Enters information for the custom attribute to be created.
Enter the following information and clicks Save.

Enters 'Brand'. |
| Custom Attribute Description |
Enters 'Phone brand' |
| Data Type |
Selects 'String' from the drop down. |
| Attribute Type |
Select 'User selects from drop down'. |
| Item compare |
Check this field. |
Step 4 - Add option for this custom attribute.
Clicks Options -> Add custom attribute option.

Enter the following information and clicks Save.

Enters 'Nokia' |
Step 5- Add another option for this custom attribute.
Clicks Options -> Add custom attribute option.

Enter the following information and clicks Save.

Enters 'Sony Ericsson' |
Step 6
Clicks 'Custom Attribute Listing' to create another custom Attribute.

Step 7
Clicks New to create a new custom attribute.

Step 8 - Enters information for the custom attribute to be created.
Enter the following information and clicks Save.

Enters 'Camera'. |
| Custom Attribute Description |
Enters 'Camera included' |
| Data Type |
Selects 'String' from the drop down. |
| Attribute Type |
Select 'User selects from drop down'. |

Check this field. |
Step 9 - Add option for this custom attribute.
Clicks Options -> Add custom attribute option.

Enter the following information and clicks Save.

Step 10- Add another option for this custom attribute.
Clicks Options -> Add custom attribute option.

Enter the following information and clicks Save.
Step 11
Go to menu Item catalog and choose Custom Attribute Group.

Step 12
Clicks New to create a new custom attribute group.

Step 13 - Enters information for the custom attribute group to be created.
Enter the following information and clicks Save.

Enters 'Phone'. |
Step 14
Clicks Option -> Add Custom Attribute.

Clicks Brand
Step 15
Clicks Option -> Add Custom Attribute.

Clicks Camera
Part 2 - Setup item.
Step 1
Go to menu Item catalog and choose Item.

Step 2
Clicks New to create a new item.

Step 3 - Enters information for the item to be created.
Enter the following information and clicks Save.

Selects 'Phone' from the drop down. |

Check this field. |
| Publish On |
You can leave this as the current date. |
| Expire On |
You can leave this as 12/31/2999. |

Selects 'Regular' from the drop down. |
| Product Class |
Selects 'Regular' from the drop down. |
| Published |
Check this field. |
| Price |
Enters 199.99 as the selling price. |
| Item Number |
Enters '1' as the item number. This field has to be unique and if you
have used it for other item, please choose another value. |
| Item UPC Code |
Enters '1' as the item UPC code. |
| Item SKU Code |
Enters '1' as the item SKU code. This field has to be unique and if you
have used it for other item, please choose another value. |
| Short Description |
Enter 'Sony Ericsson Xperia X10'. |
| Description |
You can enter anything here. Or, you can cut and paste this wording as
the description. 'Pull out your Xperia™ X10 touchscreen phone, press
the infinite button and enjoy it all - friends, artists and more. Here and
now.' |
Step 4 - Associate this item to category, Phone.
Clicks Options -> Pick Category.

Selects the checkbox besides Phone and clicks confirm.

Step 5- View the item.
You can now view the item by clicking on Phone on the menu.
